A sub audio actuator shakes a water prism to the sounds of a record, as the second half of the Wizard of Oz with the color removed is projected through the prism. A popular urban myth about the relationship between Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album and the film the Wizard of Oz is the basis for this work produced for a group show of artists using technology. The work follows a belief that within the banality and obviousness of popular/youth culture lays the seed of the transcendental. Be it in the idea of over the rainbow or the dark side of the moon.
